Civic Trust Awards Commendation

The King’s School, Canterbury International College has been highly commended in the Civic Trust Awards.

Of the 71 projects that were regional finalists, 12 were highly commended and 20 received awards. These are rigorously judged and we are very pleased and proud that the college has been recognised.

The judges commented that:

‘The scale, proportions and distinctive materials present the College as a welcoming home and an inspiring place for education. … The development makes a positive contribution to the local economy as well as adding new cultural and sporting facilities for public use. The school community is very closely involved in all the decisions, and are proud of their building, and staff and pupils have settled in very well. There is a homely feeling to the new residential building whose inner cloister courtyard is very well landscaped with a stage area and spaces to sit out.’
