News from the AIA UK 2020 Design Awards
Many thanks to the American Institute of Architects UK Chapter for hosting a very enjoyable virtual awards gala last night, and for presenting our project at St Paul’s School with an award!
We were one of three to win in the professional medium category (in great company with the National Ballet by Glenn Howells and Rolfe Judd’s Carnaby Kingly Street).
It is always a pleasure to celebrate good architecture – especially in a year that needs cheering up – and receiving this recognition for the General Teaching Building at St Paul’s made the event even happier. The judges were delighted by the look and feel of the building and that the spaces were clearly designed for learning and interaction. They said that we had an understanding for comfort and learning and they were impressed with the calmness of the spaces and the quality of light throughout the building.
Congratulations to Michál, Tim and Hannah, the consultant team, contractor and of course our wonderful client.
