Vajrasana named Building of the Year

We are thrilled to announce that Vajrasana Buddhist Retreat Centre has won an RIBA Award and has also been named Building of the Year 2017 for the RIBA East region.

Cindy, Lucrezia and our wonderful client, Maitrivajri, were there to collect the awards at the ceremony in Cambridge last night. The jury commented on the 'sparse and sensuous' atmosphere and call it 'an extraordinarily well-conceived building with a wonderful sense of calm.'

Of the 31 shortlisted projects, 17 won awards. These will all be considered for the RIBA National Awards, from which the Stirling Prize longlist is picked.
