James Lifely
James studied architecture at the University of Bath and completed his Part 2 at London Metropolitan University, graduating in 2023 with a distinction. His design for a museum in Hackney won that year’s Integrated Design Study Award, acknowledging the seamless cohesion of design and process.
James gained experience at Foster + Partners, Hopkins and Designscape during his studies, but also learned from projects under his own steam, such as designing and leading the construction of a pergola so that his local city farm could run outdoor workshops.
James joined us in February 2024 to work on the Wycombe Abbey IDC project. He’s also part of the team working on the new Chiltern Evangelical Church, and is actively involved in office discussions around sustainability, social activities and wellbeing.
